How Do You Ensure Your Building Achieves Passive House Certification?

There are a number of areas which need close attention in order to obtain Passive House Certification

  • PHPP – all Passive House designs must be verified using the specialist Passive House Planning Package

  • Construction details – achieving the required level of airtightness and thermal bridging greatly depends on appropriate details

  • Right on-site - close inspection of details during the build is very important, especially regarding airtightness
  •
  • Passive House Certification – if you want to achieve Passive House Certification you must submit your documentation to an approved Authority. Your air tightness must be tested on site by a qualified independent tester and since 2019 your HVAC must be tested by a qualified tester under Part F of the Building Regulations.
